The Ireland Government provides an opportunity for all Indian students to study in the country full-time however, you’ll first have to obtain a student visa. The visa you need will depend on your age, the type of study you want to pursue, and how long you want to stay in Ireland. As an international student looking to study in Ireland, you would most commonly require a student visa type “D”, regardless of your field of study.
The Irish Government provides an opportunity to all Indian students to study in the country but as a prerequisite, you’ll have to obtain a student visa first. The visa you’d need will depend on your age and the type of study you wish to pursue in Ireland. Here’s an overview* of the types of study visas and their application requirements
There are 2 type of visas provided by the Ireland government depending upon the duration of study. Generally, for most Indian students the study visa type will be type D

As an applicant from outside Ireland, you will have to pay €60 as your visa fee (do check the latest fee at here).
The documents required to apply for a type D student visa of Ireland are as below
A valid current passport
Letter of acceptance from a recognized Irish institution
Passport-sized colour photographs as per specifications
Accepted score of an English language proficiency test (like IELTS)
Proof of fee payment
Evidence of funds (€7,000/year) to provide your living expenses for the duration of your course
Medical insurance details
Academic and work experience documents
In case of an education loan, the loan sanction letter will be required.
You may also have to appear for a personal interview at the Ireland embassy or consulate.

Process
You can apply for your student visa application online using the Irish Government’s official website. You can apply up to three months before your intended date of travel to Ireland. Remember, your application date is the date when your application fee is paid.
To gain your study visa for Ireland, you’ll have to provide with an evidence of proficiency in the English language. This usually means passing a secure English language test to be able to prove your communication and correspondence skills.
