Introduction:
The New Zealand Government provides an opportunity for all Indian students to study in the country full-time however, you’ll first have to obtain a student visa. The visa you need will depend on your age, the type of study you want to pursue, and how long you want to stay in New Zealand.
As an Indian student, you would most commonly require a Fee Paying Student visa. Keep in mind while studying in New Zealand, it’s important to maintain your Fee Paying student status. This status relates to the purpose, or reason why you came to New Zealand.
To apply for the New Zealand student visa you will require the following documents
A valid passport which is valid for a minimum of 3 months post the completion date of your studies
A letter of acceptance from a New Zealand education provider. The course must be approved by the NZQA (New Zealand Qualifications Authority)
Academic documents such as transcripts, semester wise mark sheets, degree certificates
Complete student visa application form
Tuition fee payment receipt
Passport-sized photographs as per the latest specifications
Additional evidence of funds to cover for all the tuition fee expenses for the course duration and living and accommodation expenses.
Evidence of funds may be Education loan sanction letter, bank statements, FD certificate,
Medical Examination
Police clearance certificate.

You’ll have to apply for your student visa application online using the New Zealand Immigration website. You can apply up to 120 days before your intended date of the program’s start date. Remember, your application date is the date when your application fee is paid.
